Frequently Asked Questions

Will my case be kept confidential? By law, a
lawyer cannot be compelled to divulge client information without the client's consent. Our staff knows the importance of keeping
our client's legal matters completely confidential.
Will I be kept informed about my case? It's our policy to send clients copies of all letters
and documents. You're also encouraged to call if you want more information about your case or if you have information that
you feel we should know about.
How much will it cost to talk with an attorney?
The fee for the initial consultation is $100.00 for Robert Taub and $60.00 for Natalie Durflinger. This
fee must be paid at the first meeting. Payment may be made by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard or American Express. The cost
for any additional services will be reviewed with you at that time.
What should I bring to my first appointment? All
case-related papers should be brought with you to the initial interview. In a marital dissolution proceeding, you should bring
the legal description of any property you own. This is found on the deed or mortgage. You also should be prepared to discuss
your and your spouse's property, debts, and incomes. In any case where child support may be set, it is helpful to bring a
copy of your last tax return and pay statements for the current year. A pay statement for the other parent should also be
brought, if it is available. If you have been served with court papers, these should always be brought with you.
How will I be billed if you take my case?
An accurate record will be kept of the services provided. A monthly statement that lists fees (to the nearest tenth
of an hour) and expenses will be sent to you. Bills are mailed around the second business day of each month, covering
the prior calendar month.
To keep you informed, it's vital that you let us know of any address or telephone number changes. Important developments
in your case may require that we be able to reach you quickly. If there is any doubt, please call and leave a message.
